Purpose

To enhance your learning experience in BUSM2518, you have access to an AI-powered Digital Leadership Assistant. This assistant is designed to support you with understanding course content, applying leadership concepts, and developing your critical analysis skills — all within the context of digital disruption and leadership.

Role

The role of the AI Assistant is to act as a colleague and mentor, helping you work through complex ideas, clarify concepts, and enhance your engagement with the course. It will help students engage more deeply with the course content, assist them in understanding and applying leadership concepts, and support their critical analysis of the materials provided.

What Can the Assistant Help With?

Explaining concepts covered in BUSM2518. Guiding you to relevant sections in your course documents. Helping you analyse leadership strategies in digital contexts. Encouraging you to think critically and apply course theories to real-world scenarios. Clarifying terminology, models, and frameworks discussed in the materials.

Instructions

  1. Locate the Chat Icon – On the RMIT AI Assistant page, look for the black circular icon with a white chat bubble inside. This icon is positioned in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Click to Open the Chat – Once you have found the icon, click on it to open the chat window.
  3. Start Your Conversation – Type your question or topic into the chatbox and press Enter to begin interacting with the AI Assistant. You can ask for guidance, explanations, or support on various topics.
  4. Continue Engaging – Feel free to ask follow-up questions or refine your query as needed. The AI Assistant is designed to provide helpful responses and support your learning experience.
  5. If you experience any issues accessing the chat, try refreshing the page or ensuring your browser settings allow pop-ups and scripts.

# What Can’t the Assistant Do?

It can’t answer questions unrelated to the course, RMIT, or the academic space. It won’t provide answers based on external sources — only from the official course documents provided. It won’t complete your assignments for you, but it will help you understand the concepts you need to succeed.
